Klaen

Movement Wear™ made for what's next.

We believe movement is the key to a happier, longer and more fulfilled life in your forties, fifties and beyond.

We have designed our Movement Wear™ range for women and men in this ignored and underserved demographic: our Klaen!

We Move For Life.

Our story

Made for the bodies we have now

Most activewear is made with twenty-somethings in mind, and it shows in the cut. Klaen is for people over 45 who still move every day and want clothes cut for the bodies they have now.

45+ consumers feel invisible and forgotten. Current social attitudes do not celebrate middle age as a time of dynamism, reclamation and new possibilities in life: the exciting chapter of the ‘Noon’ women and men.

Our Time. Our Klaen.

Why I started Klaen

Every brand is chasing 25. ‘Push it!’ ‘Do it!’ Go harder in the gym! Look younger, move younger, be younger. Really!?

Meanwhile the most dynamic, wealthiest demographic is the 45+ super consumer and we get ignored completely.

I founded Klaen because I wanted a brand that actually spoke to my age group: to our changing health routines, to bodies that have earned the right to be recognised with quality eco-friendly clothing, not neon leftovers. A brand that celebrates dynamism later in life instead of pretending it isn't happening.

It's our Klaen.

Ewan Macleod, Founder
  • Versatile

Pieces that move from the studio to the street without changing.

  • Considered

Every fabric and cut tested on real bodies in motion, not a size chart.

  • Forward

    Clothing today. Intelligent movement tomorrow.

The plan

How we're getting there

We're paying for the first production run through Kickstarter. If you back us, you'll be among the first people wearing Klaen.

  1. Now

    Kickstarter launch

We fund and make the first capsule.

  2. Next

    The full range

Klaen Movement Wear™ for women and men, with more pieces and more colours.

  3. Then

    Health monitoring

Our patented health monitoring technology, built into our tops.

  4. Later

    Energy harvesting

Battery-free technology in the clothing itself, powered by the way you move.

What's next

Movement Wear™ Today. Your Guardian of Health Tomorrow.

Your Kickstarter pledge funds the first Movement Wear™ drops. Behind the scenes, we're already developing the next chapter: self-powered, battery-free health monitoring, woven directly into the fabric.

  • Continuous heart rate, HRV and respiration tracking
  • Body position, posture and activity data
  • Powered entirely by your movement, with no charging and no batteries
  • Results sync straight to a companion health app

UK patent filed November 2024, developed with the University of Southampton's Centre for Flexible Electronics and E-Textiles. This technology follows the clothing, arriving in a later drop.

A runner surrounded by the devices Klaen fabric could power: phone, smart glasses, watch, earbuds and headphones, fed by solar, thermal and mechanical energy harvesting
